Breaking The Rules of Dance
Step out of the box and discover a new, unique approach to fitness with Bharatanatyam-inspired stretching workouts. We will delve into the elegance, rhythm and cultural heritage of this ancient dance form, while learning the health benefits of each pose. This class is aimed towards the older New Orleans community but is open to all.
About the Founder
Anjali Dasa is a high schooler in New Orleans trained in bharatanatyam. She has created a curriculum integrating the health benefits of classical Indian dance and yoga for the older New Orleans community. When she is not dancing, writing, or buried in schoolwork, she is out with friends, travels with family, performs open mic poetry, and hugs her dogs!

These classes are held once a month for free at Audubon Park (Garfield and Calhoun entrance). The class will start at 9:30 a.m and end at 10:15 a.m.
